Peace of Mind Nannies supports families and companies across Rhode Island and Massachusetts with professional childcare and household staffing solutions. From nanny placements and babysitting to event childcare, Family Assistants, Household Managers and Companion Care, we help families find trusted professionals to support the people and responsibilities that matter most.
Since 2020, we've built our agency around a simple idea: finding the right person for your family should feel personal, thoughtful and manageable. We take the time to understand your family's needs, routines, priorities and preferences so we can help identify a professional who is well suited to your household and the role you're looking to fill.
Our team supports a wide range of families, children, young adults and households, with experience spanning different ages, developmental needs, family dynamics and household responsibilities. We also have particular experience supporting children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while providing exceptional care for children and young adults of all abilities.

Our professionals come from a variety of backgrounds, including nannying, education, family assistance, household management, personal assistance, hospitality, property management and other fields that require a high level of professionalism, organization and responsibility. We consider each candidate's experience, strengths and areas of expertise when identifying the right fit for your family's needs.
Safety and professionalism are at the heart of our screening process. Candidates undergo a thorough application and interview process, professional reference checks and comprehensive background screening, including national and county criminal checks, sex-offender registry checks and motor-vehicle record checks. CPR and First Aid certification with a hands-on skills component are also required.
Our team continues to develop professionally through ongoing education and training. We also have particular experience supporting children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, while providing thoughtful, high-quality care for children and young adults of all abilities.
We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every family, household and position is different, and we take the time to understand what you need before thoughtfully matching you with a professional who is equipped for the role.

About the Founder, Tiesha Sinouthasy
Tiesha launched Peace of Mind Nannies to provide all families living and visiting RI and MA the opportunity to receive exceptional care! She was specifically inspired after she noticed a lack of specialized childcare for children with special needs while working as a nanny, PASS and Respite workers. Launching Peace of Mind Nannies is the culmination of Tiesha’s professional experience in the nonprofit world, higher education at Brown University and as a childcare professional through babysitting agencies and more.
Her passion for empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities began early with her volunteer work with Best Buddies; a nonprofit organization that creates opportunities for friendships and leadership development among individuals with and without disabilities. Tiesha recently worked for two Medicaid programs in RI for children with special needs. She incorporated a child-centered/led approach while working in classroom settings assisting youth who have autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy and while nannying for families.
Tiesha has also spent her career building strong relationships in the Greater Providence community. She established diverse partnerships on behalf of national nonprofit organizations such as the YMCA and City Year and more recently through Brown University. Her areas of expertise include recruitment of volunteers and participants and program development and evaluation.
Tiesha holds a Bachelor of Science from Salve Regina University where she studied Social Work. She has been appointed to the City of East Providence Affirmative Action Committee since 2021.
