Our Model
Peace of Mind Nannies supports families across Rhode Island and Massachusetts with thoughtful, high-quality childcare through temporary and permanent nanny, babysitting and event-based child care services. As a full-service nanny placement and babysitting agency, we provide care for children and young adults up to age 21, thoughtfully matching each family with caregivers who bring professionalism, warmth, and reliability to their role.
Our team is made up of experienced professional nannies, daycare teachers, and Behavior Technician caregivers who are prepared to support a wide range of family dynamics, developmental stages, and individual needs — including caring for children with disabilities. This breadth of experience allows us to confidently support families whose children may need additional care or accommodations, while continuing to provide exceptional care for neurotypical children and those without additional support needs.
We are equally committed to the caregivers who make this work possible. By advocating for nannies and sitters, offering ongoing support, and treating them as valued members of our team, we create an environment where caregivers feel empowered and set up for long-term success — benefiting the families we serve.
What Makes us Unique?
Peace of Mind Nannies gives families something rare in today’s childcare landscape: true confidence. Every nanny we place goes through one of the most rigorous screening processes in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, including interviews, reference calls and annual national criminal checks, sex‑offender registry checks, and motor‑vehicle records. Your child’s safety is our starting point, not an afterthought.
Our team also receives ongoing professional development in child development, communication, and inclusive care practices. This means our nannies are not only prepared to support everyday family routines but are also equipped to confidently care for children with disabilities or unique needs when that support is needed.
We stay closely connected with the families we serve, meeting regularly to gather feedback, address concerns early, and ensure every placement continues to feel like the right fit. It’s one of the reasons our long‑term nanny retention rate is an exceptional 93%!
At Peace of Mind Nannies, we don’t just match families with caregivers. We build safe, trusted, lasting relationships.

About the Founder, Tiesha Sinouthasy
Tiesha launched Peace of Mind Nannies to provide all families living and visiting RI and MA the opportunity to receive exceptional care! She was specifically inspired after she noticed a lack of specialized childcare for children with special needs while working as a nanny, PASS and Respite workers. Launching Peace of Mind Nannies is the culmination of Tiesha’s professional experience in the nonprofit world, higher education at Brown University and as a childcare professional through babysitting agencies and more.
Her passion for empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities began early with her volunteer work with Best Buddies; a nonprofit organization that creates opportunities for friendships and leadership development among individuals with and without disabilities. Tiesha recently worked for two Medicaid programs in RI for children with special needs. She incorporated a child-centered/led approach while working in classroom settings assisting youth who have autism spectrum disorder and cerebral palsy and while nannying for families.
Tiesha has also spent her career building strong relationships in the Greater Providence community. She established diverse partnerships on behalf of national nonprofit organizations such as the YMCA and City Year and more recently through Brown University. Her areas of expertise include recruitment of volunteers and participants and program development and evaluation.
Tiesha holds a Bachelor of Science from Salve Regina University where she studied Social Work. She has been appointed to the City of East Providence Affirmative Action Committee since 2021.
