interNational Nanny Training Day 2025

On Saturday, April 12, Peace of Mind Nannies was proud to sponsor and co-plan (with an incredible local nanny) the 3rd Annual interNational Nanny Training Day in Rhode Island, held at the beautiful Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, RI. With 60 diverse nannies and childcare professionals in attendance, the event was an inspiring celebration of professional development, connection, and the heart of the in-home childcare industry.

This event is held on the same day internationally to recognize the needs of young children and to raise awareness of the positive correlation between nanny training and quality care. At Peace of Mind Nannies, we believe that investing in our caregivers means investing in families and children. This year’s event brought together aspiring and veteran nannies, family assistants, and industry experts to learn, grow, and support one another in a setting that reflected the professionalism and heart of this essential work.

As part of our collective continued commitment to inclusion, with the support of a local nanny, Spanish interpretation was provided throughout the day, ensuring that members of the Spanish-speaking nanny community were fully included and engaged in every session. Creating a welcoming, accessible space for all caregivers is a core value we hold at Peace of Mind Nannies — and it was reflected in the rich conversations and meaningful connections that took place throughout the event.

Our founder, Tiesha Sinouthasy, delivered a workshop titled “Navigating Tough Conversations With Your Nanny Family”, guiding participants through real-life scenarios and communication strategies to build stronger, more respectful relationships with the families they support.

Other enriching workshops included:

  • Potty Training 101 with Saga Pappas of Parenting with Purpose – offering gentle, age-appropriate strategies that support both child and caregiver

  • Traveling With Your Nanny Family by Maritza Gomez of Ritza Cares – filled with helpful tips on logistics, boundaries, and setting expectations when traveling as a caregiver

  • Building Healthy Eating Habits in Children with Sara Mandell of Nourishing Nightingale – a practical, engaging session on supporting balanced nutrition through modeling, routines, and mealtime strategies

  • Healthy Skin, Happy Kid presented by Dr. Helena Kuhn from Kuchnir Dermatology – offering expert advice on skincare essentials for children of all ages, including seasonal care and common skin conditions.

We’re so grateful to the dedicated caregivers who spent their Saturday investing in their professional growth, and to our incredible community partners who made this event possible.

We can’t wait to continue supporting and uplifting the nanny profession in Rhode Island and beyond.
